MRI Safety

The anesthesia provider cannot stay in the scan room because it will damage their hearing. Standard IV tubing can be used in the MRI suite as long as it is checked for patency before the scan is started. A standard anesthesia cart can be used in zone 2 of the MRI suite. Standard anesthesia monitors can be used in zone 2 of the MRI suite.
